We produce ADA Braille signage primarily from photopolymer and magnesium. The
objective is to have a sign whose Braille graphics project a minimum distance
from the
face of the substrate allowing those with impaired vision to read the sign. We
offer these signs either fully processed and ready to install or paint ready for
paint application by others.
Photopolymer is basically a light sensitive resin sheeting
that when exposed to high intensity ultraviolet light will harden and change its
molecular makeup. We can manipulate what areas get exposed in the Photopolymer
via a photographic method that allows us to produce almost any graphic we desire
from this material. We use NoVex Photopolymer almost exclusively due to it's
excellent exterior weather ability.
Magnesium is a metal when chemically etched can be used for Braille signage.
Usually we laminate a 16 gage sheet of magnesium over an aluminum sub carrier to
reach the desired thickness although we can use solid Magnesium for your Braille
signs is so desired. Etched Magnesium has excellent exterior and interior
applications.
All our Braille signs feature domed braille dots for 100% ADA compliance.
