Braille Doming
SignsSanDiego never provides "Flat Topped" Braille. We have developed a proprietary doming process that is far superior to most of our competition. Whereas many manufacturers will supply non-domed Braille to their customer, SignsSanDiego would never allow our valued customers to jeopardize their relationship with the end user by skipping this important step.
The reason domed Braille is so important is that when a visually impaired person attempts to read the Braille with their fingers, "Flat Topped" Braille is not nearly as easily read as "Domed" Braille. It can be easily imagined the calluses and finger prints would snag on the edges of the "Flat Topped", whereas the fingers easily glide over the "Domed" Braille.
We are able to dome all our ADA compliant products including photopolymer, etched zinc and etch magnesium.
